Several American senators would withdraw the visa exemption from Hungarians because of Ukraine.
Bloomberg writes that US Senator Ben Cardin, the Democratic chairman of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, called Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán the least reliable NATO ally and criticized the prime minister for Hungary's still not approving Sweden's NATO accession.
In his name, the Democratic senator stated with noble simplicity that the White House should "consider the introduction of anti-corruption sanctions against Hungary, as well as the cancellation of the country's visa exemption."
His position was also supported by fellow Democrat Jeanne Shaheen and Republican Senator Thom Tillis, who emphasized: "Patience with Hungary is running out."
Viktor Orbán is an "enthusiastic supporter" of former President Donald Trump, the newspaper reports, and has repeatedly criticized President Joe Biden. According to him, the United States is putting pressure on the EU, whose leadership no longer has European, but American interests in mind with some decisions.
