Viktor Orbán highlighted his personal belief that there is no mercy for pedophile offenders.
"There has been a debate about the power of the presidential pardon, but here it is not necessary to litigate, but to create a clear situation with a clear, unambiguous decision," pointed out the Prime Minister, reminding that he also has five children and six grandchildren and if someone were to touch them, the first his idea would be to "split them in half or cut them into pieces".
"It is necessary to create a clear situation, which is why I submitted a constitutional amendment on behalf of the government, which makes it impossible for the perpetrator to receive a pardon in the case of a crime committed against minors. Time to settle this issue!” stated the prime minister.
