With the mobile exhibition guide application, individual visitors can visit the featured churches independently, but still with a guided tour. They can discover the architectural features, historical aspects, special works of art and hidden curiosities of the Esztergom Basilica, the St. Stephen's Basilica, the Matthias Church, the Central Parish Church and the St. Francis Parish Church of Assisi.
You can visit the Christian Museum and the Bibliotheca with the application
In the Christian Museum, you can get to know the richest ecclesiastical collection of our country, outstanding pieces of Hungarian and international art history, with an interactive guide.
In the unique exhibition of the Bibliotheca, one of Hungary's oldest and richest ecclesiastical libraries, you will also get detailed information about the world's heaviest, richly decorated liturgical codex, the Bakócz graduále, and one of our most important Hungarian language monuments, the Jordánszky codex.
The application also recommends restaurants and other program options in the vicinity of the attractions.
How to download the Church App
The application, which can be used in both list view and map view, also provides the opportunity to listen to audio materials and scan posted QR codes.
The application is currently available in four languages - Hungarian, English, German and Slovak.
The application is constantly being expanded with additional outstanding church and cultural treasures, audio materials, and foreign language versions.
