And of course, the usual hatting wasn't left behind either.
Many people gathered on Hősök Square on Friday night for the movement organized by YouTubers and influencers against child abuse. Mostly young people appeared, not by chance: the name of Azahriah, alias Attila Baukó, was a serious buzzword, even if the singer only undertook to speak online.
Although the event was announced as free of party politics, the organizers were not able to fully enforce their request - the demonstration was crowded with left-wing politicians, and most of them posted about it on social media.
Some illustrious names: Gergely Karácsony, Péter Márky-Zay, Gábor Demszky, Ákos Hadházy, Tímea Szabó, András Jámbor, Péter Juhász, Klára Dobrev.
Their presence is highlighted by the fact that none of them supported the child protection law, and those who could, did NOT vote for it. However, this did not bother them in the least in signing in live from Hősök tere or giving an interview at the Fidesz headquarters in Lendvay Street.
Not all of the protesters on Hősök Square marched home peacefully, as requested by left-wing activist Márton Gulyás, one of the organizers of Friday's demonstration: some of the protesters - about two hundred - marched to the Fidesz headquarters in Lendvay Street, where they faced the police line and the they chanted the usual insulting texts against the government. One of the demonstrators had a white smoke bomb.
Some of them started towards the other end of Lendvay Street. A group of policemen also marched to the other end of the street. Soon after, the riot police arrived and separated the crowd. A second line of police stood up, while the protesters began to be pushed back towards Hősök tere.
It also turned out that the activists of the United Student Front, well known for the series of left-wing demonstrations organized on behalf of teachers, went to the police.
The cameraman and reporter of the Pesti Srácok were surrounded by the protesters , if the police do not rescue them from there, they will probably face more serious actions than pushing.
Since the mood calmed down around 10:30 in the evening and the crowd of 150 people began to disperse, according to our information, the BRFK decided that there would be no mass identification, and that they would let the demonstrators leave without a permit. As far as we know, two of the Renitens were finally certified. Not long after, the minibuses transporting the police team also left the scene.
According to Police.hu's summary, after the meeting announced at Hősök tere, a small group of participants stayed on Dózsa György út and tried to provoke the police. Two people were trapped between the uniformed security guards and the illegal group, so the police took them out for their own safety. During the security of the announced event, the police called an ambulance to two more people who fell ill in the crowd. A woman was reported for an offense related to a pyrotechnic product.
"Dirty Fidesz!", "Orbán cover up!"
In the video below, it is clear that a man is enjoying the situation, pretending to be pinned against the wall and grinning with a mouth full of satanic screams.
