The huge interest clearly shows how much people want and need not only practical tips, but also a connection with a positive father figure.

Rob Kenney was only 14 years old when his father left the family. His painful past and search for God prompted him to help others who also grew up without a father. This is how he launched his YouTube channel 3 years ago, with which

helps millions of young people not only with practical tips, but also with the transmission of fatherly love.

Dad, how do I ? - with this name, Rob Kenney's YouTube channel was launched in the spring of 2020, which now has 4.8 million subscribers - reports 777blog.hu.

Rob Kenney was 14 years old when his father abandoned him and his seven siblings. It was a painful experience for him, which caused many difficulties later on, since there was no one to guide him on the road to young adulthood. "When my father left us, I made a promise that I would do everything to be the best father possible. My goal in life was to raise good adults — not good children, but good adults,” she said. Later, when he faced serious difficulties in his marriage, he turned to God - and

in the end, her faith helped her to forgive her father.

The father of two grown children started making YouTube videos after his 27-year-old daughter called him with countless questions about growing up. "My daughter called me every day, and I thought, what do people do who don't have such resources, who can't ask their parents? So I recorded some introductory videos as a joke," he said. Her daughter then suggested uploading them to YouTube. The devoted father followed the good advice and created a channel on which he shares basic skills, be it tying a tie, sharing tried-and-true recipes, or just changing a car wheel or clearing a traffic jam.

"I want to share everyday tips, but also other wisdom I've learned along the way to encourage people." Rob is touched by the positive feedback. "Some people wrote that they cried while watching me demonstrate how to tie a tie, because they felt like I had become their father who had never been given to them. I couldn't even fathom this, I didn't expect these reactions at all. The initiative shows much further than I thought.”

Rob also talked about his faith in several interviews:

"the initiative comes from my faith. Although he fell, in a human way, I try to show God's mercy and love for people to the best of my ability.

The father also talked about passing away. "I understood that my life is fleeting. I was 14 when my father left, then 18, then 25. And now I am 57 years old. Time passes...I won't be here forever, but while I'm here, I want to share the knowledge I've gathered with others, providing support to those who need it."

Regarding his unbroken success, Rob said; the praise does not belong to him.

"Jesus deserves all the glory and praise."

At the end of the man's videos, he used to ask the viewers for God's blessing. "Several people told me that I shouldn't say God bless me at the end of my videos, because most of my followers don't necessarily believe in God. Well, I'm still going to say goodbye this way… if my professing to be a Christian results in them unfollowing my content, so be it. I can live with that. I will not compromise.”

The Seattle man doesn't assume his tips are the best, and he's also aware that there are many other sources online. He recognizes his own mistakes and emphasizes the importance of seeking forgiveness. In every video, he tells a tiresome dad joke and urges us to simply be kind to each other. At the same time

with his initiative, he proved that the internet needs just that - a positive, practical and caring father who wants to share his knowledge. Today, millions of young people can benefit from the love of their attentive, kind and good-humored father, who were not given this connection before.

“My dad died in a car accident a month before my 6th birthday and I'm 40 now. Your channel really touched my heart. I think what you are doing is amazing. Just shine and keep teaching!” wrote one commenter. "I am a girl who grew up without a father. I never wished I had a father. But now it is. You. And that's awesome, thank you." “My father has Alzheimer's disease and can't really speak without stuttering. I really appreciate these videos you make, thanks to you I was able to tie my tie for prom and graduation. Keep it up, we appreciate your work more than you think.”

“If you didn't have someone in your life to encourage you, there was a void in your heart,” says Rob. "I want you to know that you are loved and that you can do great things if you let yourself go and get out into the world!"
