The Minister of Finance announced the good news on his social media page.

Mihály Varga announced that this time EUR 75.2 million (HUF 29.8 billion) in pre-financing was received for our investments aimed at the green and digital transition.

These funds are used by the government within the framework of the Environmental and Energy Efficiency Operational Program Plusz (KEHOP Plusz), the finance minister added.

With today's transfer, the amount of funds drawn from the 2021-2027 cohesion framework has already risen to 1.22 billion euros. With this result, Hungary is ahead of the majority of the member countries in terms of drawdown, and is in 11th place

- stressed the head of the ministry.

In the comment under the post, Mihály Varga also reminded that since the end of December, our country has already received more than 550 billion forints from its previously blocked resources. Pál Zsigmond Barna, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of European Union Affairs, wrote on his Facebook

the new 2 billion euros can now be released thanks to the commission's acceptance of the Hungarian government's self-assessment in the field of the education and training system and gender equality after a very thorough investigation.

"In other words, these thematic authorization conditions are also fulfilled according to the committee's point of view, as a result of which Hungary can begin the claim for reimbursement of costs for the parts of the programs to which they apply"

he said.

On Wednesday, Mihály Varga also mentioned EU resources at the presentation of the OECD country study on Hungary. The finance minister said, "520 billion has already been deposited in our account" and hopes the remaining amounts will be disbursed soon.
