"It's a classic parasitic strategy that imposes its own intentions on a topic that's running well in the public, from the momentum of which it also benefits itself," writes on his Facebook page , which Mandiner . According to the communication specialist, Magyar used Katalin Novák's pardon case and came to light as one of those involved.
According to him, after the pardon case, it now looks like the public has destined a special fate for Magyar: "he is built by scandal, he is consumed by scandal" . "Furthermore, there are topics that are not related to public involvement, but violate general standards of coexistence," Perlaky-Papp believes.
According to Perlaky-Papp
it is instructive to see where the communication begins to break the actor: precisely at his communication.
The communication expert believes that a scandal very quickly places the given person in a completely new framework of interpretation, where his previous statements also gain a new meaning. In the competitive world, this always starts with the slogans and then continues with the changed meaning of the brand promise. If they don't pay attention, the brand image can change quickly, he writes.
"In Péter Magyar's case too, the slogans and hashtags, the signposts of the digital world, are first given a new interpretation. We see the changed content of the "don't be afraid" slogan, then comes the flipping of # Lúdas Matyi and the other communication puzzles. And memes pour out thousands of simplified and entertaining variations," notes the honorary associate professor of the Metropolitan University.
According to Perlaky-Papp, the damage will spread with the same dynamics as it did in other cases: it will take the person first, and then infect the community behind it. "The longer it remains present, the more it can weaken it," he underlines.
"Péter Magyar feels that there is a big problem, as he immediately reacts to everything on the subject. He is visibly in a hurry, afraid of his newly acquired fame. His reactions are primarily visceral, not thought-out. As a lawyer, he threatens legal torture, falsely believing that this can help. While it reinforces that fiery image, as a result of which suspicion is increasingly woven around it. Out of anger, he also attacks those who have raised him so far and may even help him in the future," writes the expert.
According to the associate professor, the devastating outcome of the case does not depend on Péter Magyar, but on Judit Varga and the probative power of the documentation of what happened so far. "If the former justice minister makes a clear statement, the ex-husband's role in public life will quickly come to an end. He becomes unworthy to represent voters, the case makes his support impossible," Perlaky-Papp said in her post.
If things continue to leak slowly, then the damage may be even greater, since the slower-acting poison can reach even more people: it also pushes those behind it further away from politics.
- writes.
At the end of his post, the expert notes:
"Since the beginning of Péter Magyar's public appearance, I have been of the opinion that we are witnessing a self-destructive story. His exit must be tragic for him, the most you can get out of him is a picture of Tituszi Dugovics' fate."
"In the studio, Péter Magyar asks journalists and the public not to evaluate the case viscerally, but to ask themselves the question: whose interest is this?
If the public functioned this way, then we would never have known Péter Magyar so widely"
József Perlaky-Papp concludes his post.
