In a reformed school, order and love must prevail so that children can be raised according to the teachings of the Lord.

Church schools give children a spiritual advantage that will pay off over time - emphasized the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for church and ethnic relations on Thursday, at the dedication ceremony of the renovated and expanded Reformed elementary school in Csopak, Veszprém county.

Miklós Soltész said that nearly 30,000 teachers work in church educational institutions across the country, and a total of 260,000 children attend church kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools or vocational training institutions.

He pointed out that in these institutions, students receive not only material knowledge, but also patriotic and godly education, which is much needed in today's turbulent world.

The 8-grade Csopak Reformed Primary School, founded in 2012, outgrew the old building due to the increase in the number of children, so its capacity was increased by rebuilding and adding floors. The investment was realized with HUF 964 million from national funds.

Miklós Soltész highlighted that in the past decade, significant progress has been made in three important areas of public education: the financial appreciation of teachers, the strengthening of national and Christian thinking and education, and the repair of dilapidated buildings.

Regarding the former, he stated that "many tried in many ways to prevent the salary increase efforts, many would even withdraw it now", but in the end it was possible to start the wave of salary increases, for which he thanked those who did it and thanked the teachers for their many years of patience.

In connection with the institutional renovations, the state secretary mentioned that not only the properties taken from the churches and then returned, but also the buildings of the newly opened church kindergartens and schools had to be renovated and built, and the school in Csopak also fits into this.

Károly Kontrát, the Fidesz member of parliament of the region, recalled that three years ago they embarked on the development and, despite many difficulties, they reached the point where the 200 students of Csopak can continue their studies in 21st century conditions.

In his homily, József Steinbach, the bishop of the Transdanubia Reformed Church District of the Hungarian Reformed Church, thanked the government for the support, as well as the help of the settlement, the parents and the congregation.

He believed that the new facility guarantees a quality life dear to God, and the task of the parents and educators is only to work out the fulfilling life of the children. He noted: in a reformed school, order and love must prevail so that children can be raised according to the Lord's teachings, because this is the right thing to do.
