II. The struggle of Ferenc Rákóczi contributed to the survival of the Hungarian nation, said the president of the Rákóczi Association at the equestrian statue of the prince born 348 years ago in Budapest on Wednesday.

The president of the association quoted II. in front of about 200 high school students. Ferenc Rákóczi's message to young people:
"My message to the future generation of children in Hungary is to respect their country and appreciate that they can live on this land. Preserve your values and memories!"
Military historian Kálmán Mészáros reminded that II. Ferenc Rákóczi was the leader of the longest-lasting freedom struggle in Central Europe and Hungary.
II. Ferenc Rákóczi also lectured on the importance of education and highlighted its importance in his memoirs , he said.
In 2015, the Parliament declared March 27 II. for the memorial day of Ferenc Rákóczi.
