Momentum is initiating an investigation of the audio recording made public by Péter Magyar at the European Parliament.
This is clear from Anna Donáth's post on her official Facebook page. According to the politician, the government has no answer to what was said, "the current minister of justice is silent, the prosecutor's office leads the way."
Anna Donáth sees it as follows: Judit Varga's allegations are about very serious crimes, so an independent investigation can only be a satisfactory answer to such a situation.
That is why I am initiating the European Parliament to investigate what was said in the audio recording leaked by Péter Magyar,
with particular regard to the independence of the Hungarian judiciary," the post reads.
According to Donáth, the rule of law proceedings initiated at the EU level cannot be concluded in a satisfactory manner under such circumstances, and this not only endangers the EU funds due to Hungary,
but may also question the country's EU membership.
"We are not only seeing a moral collapse, but also an economic collapse," concludes the Momentum politician.
