So there are already seven fighting for the position - for now.
The Szabad Ország Mozgalom (SZOM) announced on Facebook on Sunday that they are also launching a candidate for mayor in the person of former police officer Gábor Kajtor.
Another party has announced that it will field a candidate for the title of mayor. Szabad Ország Mozgalom , founded in the summer of 2023, announced the news on Sunday, HVG .
The candidate, Gábor Kajtor, worked for the Emergency Police for 18 years and is currently a bodybuilder. Kajtor promises to show his commitment not only in words, but also in deeds.
He explains that they have detailed plans in the fields of parking, transportation, public transportation, the renovation of public spaces, and the improvement of public safety. He also emphasizes that they offer the public the opportunity to contribute their ideas to the work.
I believe that the city management needs a new face and approach that can keep up with development and where communication does not mean just empty words, but real action and attention to the residents and the development of the city
- writes Gábor Kajtor.
"The current leadership is stuck in the past, and we see that Budapest faces many challenges. Parking difficulties, traffic confusion, BKV obstacles, cleanliness and public safety issues, development of agglomeration transport, these are all areas where urgent action is needed. It is not only necessary to talk about problems, but also to provide solutions"
- the SZOM candidate expresses his opinion.
The Szabad Ország Mozgalom announced in December 2023 that it would run in the 2024 election, but at that time Zoltán Katona would have been nominated as mayor candidate. The president of the party is Tímea Blazovich, who previously politicized in the colors of another party, the Farmers-Farmers and New Life Reform Party (FGRP).
