"The European Parliament is preparing to respond to Viktor Orbán's tricks and blackmails. Together with several of my fellow representatives, we submitted a resolution proposal on behalf of 5 factions, which could force the Commission to act more decisively and harshly than at present against the corrupt and anti-European government.
The most important development is that we will officially say that the Sovereignty Protection Office is not just another overpaid warmonger for the power bureaucracy, but an institution that violates the principle of free and fair elections.
In this resolution, the European Parliament draws the necessary and logical conclusions from Judit Varga's audio recording, which is another clear proof that the chief prosecutor is not prosecuting crime, but is an active participant in the criminal organization of Fidesz and the cover-up of crimes.
It is slow and cumbersome work within the framework of the rule of law, to act with decent means against a mafia-like operation that the founders of the European Union did not even think about in their nightmares. The EU institutions and legislation were not prepared for a government that works without restraint and with all its might to serve foreign interests while also looting its own citizens. It takes away the chance for European wages, education, and healthcare from its own citizens.
This resolution proposal may further limit Viktor Orbán's room for maneuver, and fills us with hope that in the event of a future change of government, Hungarian EU funds will still be available and will not go to the bank accounts of the Fidesz oligarchs in Dubai or the Cayman Islands."
