"I promise that if I become the mayor, this city will progress in both the literal and figurative sense of the word, it will get rid of the paralyzing traffic chaos, clean and orderly public spaces will await us," said Alexandra Szentkirályi, Fidesz-KDNP candidate for mayor at his press conference held in Városliget on Wednesday.

The mayoral candidate added that if he wins the mayoral election, from then on "Ferenc Gyurcsány's people will not occupy the places in the town hall that are taken away from those who want to work for this city, including me and my colleagues." ".

He stated: in the coming days and weeks, he will work to talk as much as possible about the affairs of Budapest, about his own plans for the capital, and to eliminate the Gyurcsány-Karácsony coalition at the town hall.

"Let's finally deal with the real issues of the people of Budapest, instead of the fact that Ferenc Gyurcsány's issues now have priority. This is what I am preparing for, this is what I undertake"

he highlighted.

Alexandra Szentkirályi also said that at another event in the City Park, people can see another proof of how "the Gyurcsány-Karácsony coalition is collapsing" , which was also an example in recent weeks, as they also held a joint campaign event.

"After this, we can't be surprised that they spend not only their working days, but also their holidays together in the City Park"

- remarked the mayor candidate of Fidesz-KDNP.

He said, "they had the idea to organize this event in the Városliget, which was renovated by the government, with the active cooperation of the capital's leadership at the time."

In the framework of the ten-year Liget Project, a world-class cultural development, which is also very popular with the people of Budapest, was realized. Among other things, the Olof Palme house was renovated, the Museum of Ethnography, the House of Hungarian Music, and a large playground, which are "loved by Budapest parents and children", . As part of the developments, the City Park was expanded with more than a quarter of a million square meters of green space, 72,000 square meters of paved surface were demolished, more than 500 deciduous trees, 130 pines, almost 70,000 shrubs and more than 700,000 perennials were planted.

"I think that the people of Budapest vote with their feet every day, when they use the park, and that it was a good investment, a good project"

Alexandra Szentkirályi emphasized.

He added: "the same people who, a few hundred meters from us, Gergely Karácsony and Ferenc Gyurcsány, are holding a majal in the city park, they were the ones who practically tied themselves to the trees to prevent this project from happening" . He believed that this attitude is what keeps Budapest stuck in one place even now,

"so that nothing is built, and whoever wants to do something should do nothing".

The mayoral candidate of the Fidesz-KDNP indicated that he will visit the districts of the capital in the coming days and weeks and continue the campaign.
