A small motor boat collided with a hotel boat near Verőce, two people lost their lives in the accident, five people are currently being sought.
Soma Csécsi, the spokesperson of the BRFK, said: on the night of May 18, a report was received that a man with a bleeding head was found near Verőce, who was assumed to have suffered a boat accident.
During the search of the site, the bodies of a man and later a woman were found, and a damaged small motorboat was towed ashore.
In the meantime, the police also stopped a hotel ship near Komárom, the side of which was damaged.
"At the moment, both the small motor boat and the hotel boat are being inspected by the police with the involvement of experts, and we have ordered criminal proceedings for the endangerment of water traffic that caused the death of several people. According to our current knowledge, according to the current state of the investigation, there were a total of eight people on the small craft, we are talking about eight adults, of whom we are currently actively searching for five, three men and two women.

The Budapest police headquarters initiated criminal proceedings against an unknown perpetrator on suspicion of endangering water transport that caused the death of several people.
