Lőrinc Mészáros donated a patient transport minibus to the social institution in Bicske, while emphasizing that he is happy to support people in the area who need help, as he himself comes from a poor family.
On Tuesday, Lőrinc Mészáros - as a private person - donated a special patient transport minibus to the Contact Center of the Associated Family Support and Care Center in Bicske.
At the ceremony, Lőrinc Mészáros, the owner of the Mészáros Group, emphasized that he is happy to support people in the area who need help, as he himself comes from a poor family, so he knows what deprivation is.
"The Good Lord has given me a lot, and I will try to give back to the needy in a significant way"
- he said, adding: this is why his company group created several foundations, which annually donate more than HUF one billion throughout the country.
The businessman mentioned that he is a local and local patriot, but he also feels that he is a Bicskei, since he lived in the city as a lifestyle, so he follows the growth of the city with special attention. He indicated that in the case of Bicske, he previously supported the purchase of a new fire truck, and now he is trying to make the daily lives of people with limited mobility easier with the minibus.
Mayor Istvánné Bálint (Fidesz-KDNP) said that their local government institution had been doing its job with a vehicle that was more than ten years old, and that she was afraid that the car would break down. Because of this, they applied for a new car twice, but were unsuccessful, so they asked for help from Lőrinc Mészáros, who immediately said yes and helped.
Ágnes Szabó, the institutional manager of the United Family Support and Care Center - Contact Center, said that during their daily work, they transport people with disabilities to medical institutions, pharmacies or shops, among other things. He noted: every day they help people who, due to their situation, live in isolation and are vulnerable. They try to alleviate these difficulties with the new vehicle, which is equipped with all extras and guarantees them a safe service in the future.
When asked by MTI, he said that the nine-passenger Volkswagen Caravelle minibus has been specially modified, it is equipped with a five-point attachment for the safe transport of wheelchair users, and it is also equipped with an electric ramp and stairs to make it easier to get in and out.
