One of the participants in the brutal street attacks in Budapest will be granted immunity.

According to primary data, with the results of the Italian EP election, Ilaria Salis, the prime suspect in the antifa attacks in Budapest, will also enter the European Parliament.

"Irrespective of the results to be confirmed, it is quite certain that Ilaria Salis will be an MEP and I think she will be elected with an avalanche of votes," said Nicola Fratoianni, national secretary of Sinistra italiana.

According to the information of the Italian Euronews, with this result he won immunity, so he can return home to Italy after 15 months.

Salis last appeared before the judge of the Capital Tribunal on May 24, who informed him that the Ministry of Justice had already been contacted in this regard, but no response had yet been received.

Due to the current situation, the Index has sent a request to the Metropolitan Court and the Ministry of Justice, as this case of assault does not only depend on Salis.

According to the court's information, they are still waiting for the official results from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, so no decision has yet been made in this case.

As is known, last February a series of horrific attacks began on the streets of Budapest. The first incident took place on Thursday, February 9, in Fővám Square in the city center, where three Polish citizens were attacked by a gang of seven or eight people: they ran over them and then started hitting them with vipers and other tools.

The attack lasted a minute, after which the members of the group ran away from the scene. Two of the three victims suffered serious, broken injuries.

The next atrocity happened the next day, February 10, when a Hungarian man was attacked from behind in Gazdagrét. On the same day, in the evening hours, a Hungarian couple was assaulted in Bank Street in District V, and a German couple in District I.

The investigation revealed that the attackers followed each victim for a long time, some of whom traveled with them on public transport and with several transfers.

Second-rate Tobias E. was recently sentenced to 1 year and 10 months in prison by the Capital Court. While the third-ranking German woman no longer has to appear at the negotiations.
