We have to look for a solution that hurts the European Union more than us, said the Prime Minister's chief advisor about the EU court's ruling.
The European Commission has accepted the joint implementation plan of the migration and asylum pact, according to which each member country must prepare a plan within six months on how it intends to implement it. György Bakondi spoke to HírTV about the topic.
The prime minister's chief adviser on internal security said that since our country does not accept the migration pact, it is unlikely that we would start preparing the schedule at a high pace.
The general counsel also touched on the unprecedented fine imposed on Hungary by the European Court, the timing of which, according to him, was no accident. Bakondi called the verdict financial blackmail, and then added: a proposal is being prepared within the government about what response options are available.
Perhaps we should look for a solution that hurts the European Union more than us
- said the chief adviser, who practically repeated the words of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who said the same thing on Kossuth Rádió's Good Morning in Hungary program on Friday.
Bakondi made it clear that the Hungarian government will not change its migration policy, and the current election also authorized this. Migration should not be treated, but stopped - he reminded the government's position.
