According to the analyst, the future of DK depends on Péter Magyar's future performance.

The Ferenc Gyurcsánys currently do not have to do anything, just wait - Zoltán Kiszelly, Századég's director of political analysis, told Mandiner about what might happen to the DK, which suffered the biggest defeat in the June 9 vote.

According to the analyst, what is happening is like a sine curve:

a new person always appears, whom the voters who switch to the opposition fall in love with,

and who promises to win alone. After that, it turns out that it doesn't work, and the full cooperation comes again, of which DK is also a part. Thus, Gyurcsány only has to make sure that his party remains relevant, i.e. a party above five percent, regardless of its formation. And if the ever-changing power of the opposition wears off, then they will come.

According to Kiszelly

Gyurcsány knows that after 2006 they will never win on the basis of subject rights, they are playing to be part of a government coalition.

The analyst reminded: Gyurcsány did not start as prime minister either, he only became one later.

"At the same time, it is certain that the Gyurcsánys lost the O1G section," said Kiszelly. They really felt at home here, but Péter Magyar stole this position from them. The question is whether they can fight their way back into the red corner again.

At the same time, the math is important: if Péter Magyar can maintain his 30 percent support, they will believe that he can win on his own. In this case, they will be in trouble, but if they are able to form a faction, then there will be no end to DK.

At the moment, it seems that the future of DK depends on the future performance of Péter Magyar.

As for whether the election defeat should not have personal consequences in the party, the analyst said: Gyurcsány already pulled this out in 2009 and withdrew into the background, and then returned citing that there were no better ones to replace them. According to Kiszelly, one of the party's founders from Gyula called him to leave in vain, and the former vice-president of the party, Tibor Nagy-Huszein, expressed sharp criticism of the party leadership.

he cannot make his followers retreat.

Although the president of DK indicated after the election that there would be legitimate questions, but what was revealed, he has no intention of leaving politics.
