In addition to Chega, the Patriots for Europe alliance attracted the interest of many major European parties, and several indicated that they were ready to join.
"A new era begins here," said Viktor Orbán after the patriotic manifesto was signed in Vienna. The Hungarian Prime Minister together with Herbert Kickl, the chairman of the Austrian Freedom Party, and former Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis announced the establishment of the new European party alliance. According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, the goal of the sovereign alliance is to change European politics. According to Viktor Orbán, Europeans want three things: peace, order and development, but from the Brussels elite they only get war, migration and stagnation.

In order for the Patriots for Europe party alliance to form an EP faction, at least 23 members of parliament are required, who come from at least seven member states. Fidesz and KDNP have a total of 11 representatives, the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) has six, and the ANO has seven.
This makes a total of 24 members of the European Parliament from three member states, so we need to join from four other countries. And this is not impossible.
Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, president of the League, welcomed the initiative of the patriotic group.
Today, the unity of European patriots is needed even more than before, it is only possible to change Europe and offer a political alternative to the left by joining forces - emphasized Salvini.
The Italian politician wrote on his social media page: left-wing forces have destroyed Europe in recent years. The League has been working for years in order to involve as many parties as possible in the construction of a different Europe without the left, he added.
In a radio interview on Monday, Salvini said the following about the possibility of joining the new alliance: "I consider the creation of any formation that focuses on work, family, and the future of young people to be the right way."
Recently, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki spoke to Politico about the need to create a new group.
The Brussels Signal wrote that the second largest party of the European Conservatives and Reformers (ECR) group, the Polish Law and Justice (PiS), is threatening to leave.
Patriots for Europe can be an alliance to which Polish Law and Justice, an old ally of Fidesz, can join.
Since the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) is one of the leading forces in the Identity and Democracy faction, it is likely that others may follow them into the newly formed patriotic alliance. The ID has the most representatives from Marine Le Pen's National Compact (RN), which can join Viktor Orbán with thirty representatives.
The president of the Portuguese Chega party, André Ventura, has already announced that he wants to be part of the coalition of sovereignist forces laid out in the Vienna Manifesto, and he will submit the proposal aimed at this to the decision-making bodies of his party.
According to press reports and analysts, several parties may still join the alliance: the Italian League led by Matteo Salvini (8 MEPs), the Dutch Freedom Party of Geert Wilders (6 MEPs), the Flemish Interest that won the Belgian European Parliament election (3 MEPs ), as well as the Danish People's Party (1 MEP) and the Estonian Conservative People's Party (1 MEP).
Together, there are already 43 representatives from a total of eight countries, which could make the new political formation even the largest right-wing group in the European Parliament.
