Hungary will be the president of the European Council for half a year from today.
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo in Brussels on Monday, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister's press chief, informed MTI.
As part of the meeting, the Hungarian Prime Minister officially took over the presidency of the European Council for the next six months.
After the meeting, Viktor Orbán together with the President of the Republic Tamás Sulyok visited the recently renovated building of the Hungarian House in Brussels, which will now be the main venue for the presidency's programs.
