This time Czech representatives arrived.

Two members of the European Parliament (EP) of the Czech party coalition Oath-Motorists to themselves (Prísaha-Motoristé sobe) join the Patriots for Europe faction.

EP representative Filip Turek said at his press conference in Prague on Wednesday that their decision was made based on their values. The two MPs made a choice between the Patriots for Europe and the European Conservatives and Reformers (ECR).

The values of the patriots coincide with the values of our parties: they are critical of the Green Agreement, they support the maintenance of the sovereignty of nation states, they oppose the federalization of the European Union and they also have a strong position on the issue of migration.

- stated Turek, the president of Motorosok.

He believed that there was no point in intruding into the ranks of the ECR, where there was no interest in them, and the strongest Czech government party, the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), also indicated to them that it would prevent their joining.

The largest Czech opposition force, the Association of Dissatisfied Citizens (ANO), is also part of the Patriots for Europe faction. The faction currently has 84 representatives, while the ECR has 78. On Monday, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, president of the ODS, sharply criticized the Patriots for Europe faction, which, according to him, "knowingly or unknowingly serves the interests of Russia and thus endangers the security and freedom of Europe." Andrej Babis, former Czech prime minister and president of ANO, rejected Fiala's statements and called the prime minister a sick liar.
