On Wednesday, the children camped by the foundation went fishing with the former president of the republic, founder of the Regőczi Foundation, and László Cseh, world and European champion swimmer and fishing ambassador, at Magyarnándor Rézparti reservoir in Nógrád county.

The children are on vacation from Sunday to Saturday in the nearby Terény.

The Regőczi Foundation was established three years ago by János Áder and his wife, Anita Herczegh, to help orphaned or semi-orphaned children due to the coronavirus epidemic.

János Áder called it the foundation's mission to support children and young people until they reach adulthood or graduate.

As he said, they are trying to secure the lost income of the deceased parent together with state subsidies (widow and orphan benefits).

We cannot replace the lack of love and parents, we can help with regular and periodic support - said János Áder.

Since 2021, more than 1,600 children, young people and their families have benefited from foundation support. In addition to financial support, they also deal with mental, spiritual and legal assistance, mediation of cultural and sports programs, camping, vacations, and connecting offers and needs.

The foundation was named after father István Regőczi, who died in 2013, and who was the protector, protector and supporter of orphans throughout his life.

László Cseh, Olympic silver and bronze medalist, world and European champion, Hungarian champion swimmer 112 times, visited the campers as an ambassador of fishing.

László Cseh in Magyarnándor called fishing a great activity and a good opportunity to relax, primarily because the angler can be outdoors in nature.

It is reassuring, even if there is no bite, said the athlete.
