The organizers of the Hungarian Days in Kalotaszeg, held in Bánffyhunyad, appeal to young and old alike.

Saturday starts with a mini-soccer championship and a family running race, and in the afternoon the participants have the opportunity to admire the most beautiful landscapes of Cluj County by bicycle, as part of the Pál Vasvári Bicycle Memorial and Performance Tour.

At the same time, László Péntek's outstanding figure of the freedom struggle is also commemorated with a performance entitled The Rákóczi Free Team led by Pál Vasvári in Kalotaszegen.

On the first day of the series of events, the children will be treated to, among other things, rounding and story telling, a petting zoo, natural science experiments, archery, and a presentation of old weapons. In the László Ravasz Community House, which was inaugurated in March this year, the adult community can view the works of the folk artists of the Kalotaszeg Bokréta Cultural Association and the artists of the Csigadomb creative camp, as well as learn interesting facts about the changes over time and local characteristics of muszuly and bagazia.

In the late afternoon and evening, the main role will be played by music in the Barcsay garden: first, the indie folk band Mano & Gregor from Cluj will take the stage, then No Sugar from Gyergyószentmiklós will play a fast-paced pop-rock party. True to tradition, Sunday is all about folk costumes, music and folk dance.

Considered the highlight of the Hungarian Days in Kalotaszeg, the parade and folk costume parade featuring the traditional clothing of many settlements in the landscape begins at 2 p.m.

At the same time, the organizers are looking for the Madonna of Kalotaszeg, i.e. the most beautiful party girl, and the most beautiful family/party in national costume. On the Facebook page of the event, it is decided who will make it to the finals based on a likes contest, where a professional jury will decide on the award winners. The results will be announced on Sunday afternoon in the Barcsay garden. The meeting of Kalotaszeg musicians, the performance of folk dance groups and folk singers, the music performance of singer Ibolya Vigh, and the fashion show featuring Katalin Szalai's clothing collection from Kalotaszeg will take place here.

The Hungarian rock band Hooligans will perform the hits "Királylány", "Félember", "Küzdj az slampért" and new songs as the closing act of the Hungarian Days in Kalotaszeg. The entire program range of the series is available in the Facebook event.
