How could I live without you? revives the traditions of the film musical following in the footsteps of Hollywood predecessors such as Mamma Mia! or the California dream.

Three years of work by the creators was necessary in order to create a super production that could match these, the announcement states.

The idea of the film is to create a romantic comedy based on the popular songs of Ferenc Demjén, produced by Attila Kirády, from which Anett Kormos and Krisztina Goda wrote the script.

After a long preparation, as part of which the actors took dance and singing lessons, filming began at the end of last year. The scenes of the film taking place in the present day were recorded last winter, while the plot of the story line flying back to the Balaton summer of 1994, under the direction of director Dénes Orosz and creative producer Krisztina Goda, was recorded by the crew in the period from April to the end of June this year.

The film was shot by a crew of more than two hundred people. The 46-day shooting took place in various locations. In Budapest, at Nyugati railway station, during Révay and in the former New Orleans club. In addition to Révfülöp and Balatonakali on Lake Balaton, the Hotel Riviéra in Balatonföldvár, the Honvéd Üdülő in Balatonakaratty, and within that the Czinege villa served as the background for the recordings. In a small bay of the lake, one of the most romantic scenes of the film was recorded, which also proved to be the most difficult, as the boating was filmed from a floating pontoon built on the water, the release states.

It is emphasized that in the film the actors perform Ferenc Demjén's hits in their entirety. The songs were re-arranged by the musician's own team, so that they fit the style and voice of the actors as much as possible. Among others, you will be able to hear The Moon from Cheese, The Love Train, The Wanderers of Freedom, When the Train Starts, How Could I Live Without You? and also the hit "You have to let me go". A clip was also made of the latter, separately from the film, with the participation of the male protagonists - they point out in the announcement.

The choreographies shown in the film were created by Péter Lajos Túri. In the dance scenes, the actors often moved together with 70 dancers in front of the cameras.

One of the protagonists of the film, which takes place in two time planes, the present day and the early 1990s, is a singer in her thirties stuck in all areas of life, Lili, who comes across old letters from her mother, Eszter.

These were written 30 years ago by a man she did not know for her mother, who at that time was already planning a future with her "perfect fiance in every respect". The letters recall Eszter and her two girlfriends' girly vacation in Balaton, which takes an unexpected turn when the girls meet the members of a rock band.

The visual world of the film produced by IKO is handled by the cinematographer Tamás Babos, the visual designer is Gábor Valcz, and the costume designer is Tünde Kemenesi.

The film will be shown in domestic cinemas under the distribution of InterCom.
