Juggling Réka Pupp and Szabina Gercsák are the first two Hungarian athletes to move into the Olympic Village in Paris.
According to Monday's news on the website of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, the judokas traveled to the French capital on Sunday with many members of the background staff, such as doctors, on a WizzAir plane with Olympic colors.
Puppé's arrival was not smooth, as after landing at Orly airport, the security forces led their delegation away from the baggage distribution belts because a suspicious package was found. It then turned out that a woman was just using a nylon bag that had been left there.
The athletes could already validate their accreditation cards at the airport, the shuttles were waiting outside, so that everyone quickly got to the village and their accommodation in the city.
For the time being, there is relative silence in Paris, with the exception of the banks of the Seine, where the mobile stands and all other structures that the organizers have dreamed up for the innovative opening ceremony - not limited to the central stadium, but showing different points of the city - are being wildly erected.
The Pupp Rékás are considered the first Hungarian athletes only in Paris,
since the two sailors of the Hungarian delegation, Mária Érdi, the world and European champion, and Jonatán Vadnai, the European runner-up, are already at the venue of their competitions, in Marseille.
