Statements of condemnation regarding what was seen at the opening of the five-ring games are rife.

During his celebratory mass held in Izsák, Archbishop Balázs Bábel of Kalocsa sharply criticized the Olympic opening in Paris, which had already provoked many reactions, to which former member of parliament András Schiffer had already reacted.

The 2024 Paris Olympics are in full swing, and the opening has been the part that caused the greatest response so far.

The performance mix, for which the organizers have already apologized, caused huge public outrage in several communities, including conservative and Christian viewers. Explanations and comments are still being received for the opening, this time the Archbishop of Kalocsa reacted to it during his celebratory mass.

a festive archbishopric mass on July 28 , the World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly. During his speech, he brought up the part of the Olympic opening in Paris, where Leonardo da Vinci's painting The Last Supper was recreated.

According to the archbishop, it was a terrible desecration of the Eucharist, and the organizers excuse themselves in vain by saying that they wanted to embody a pagan feast.

Why should the insult of the Eucharist be brought into a sports event, when the Pope himself welcomed it to be a sign of peace, friendship and togetherness. And who should be mocked? This is a great pain for us - said Balázs Bábel. According to the archbishop, the performance was a great cowardice, not just evil.

"I wouldn't dare do the same to Muslims, mocking their holy things, because they could expect, like Charlie Hebdo, to kill everyone who does that." According to him, Christians are not vindictive, which is why they are mocked, but what happened in Paris only proves that God is with them, and that the sacrament of the Eucharist really comes from him.

In addition to Balázs Bábel, LMP founder András Schiffer, a former member of parliament, also commented on the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

In his Facebook post, he wrote that since the opening, the progressives have been giving a unified answer, that he wanted to evoke not da Vinci's painting, but the work of the "little-known Dutch painter" Jan Harmensz van Biljert's Feast of the Gods, which, of course, "many sudris" who criticized the performance "jerk" doesn't know him, and that's what causes the indignation.

András Bencsik also freaked out, calling France to revolt on Hír TV.

Cripples, transvestites, pedophiles and everything that is terrible is like this, together, because for them it is so beautiful that everything is twisted and everything is a lie... - said the journalist. “Unfortunately, I have to say that this is France. I sincerely feel sorry for the French who tolerate this, but I would immediately tell them that now is the time to rebel." András Bencsik believes that he now understands Viktor Orbán's words that "this is the path we do not want".

According to the organizers of the Olympics, the performances were supposed to promote acceptance, but the message did not reach everyone.

Anne Descamps, French spokeswoman for the pentathlon, said it was never their intention to be disrespectful to any religious group - but the video of the opening ceremony has been removed from the official Facebook page of the Paris sporting event.
