Péter Magyar and the director of the Publicus Institute got involved, and later Balázs Barkóczi from DK also joined the virtual wrestling.

Péter Magyar, the chairman of the Tisza Party, did not leave it unsaid that the Publicus Institute measured the voter reception of the party chairman's decisions. Péter Magyar and András Pulai had a debate on the issue of authenticity on Index's Facebook page.

Péter Magyar, the chairman of the Tisza Party, and András Pulai, the director of the Publicus Institute, which carried out the survey, got into trouble for an article about the results of a public opinion poll. shared on Index's Facebook page , among the comments, Péter Magyar spoke up, accusing that

"this is the institute that measured the 8 percent DK at 24 percent!".

Public survey: it was revealed what voters think about Péter Magyar's scandals

It wasn't long before Pulai responded, who wrote:

We measured the DK at 25 percent in, say, February 2024, but - I have bad news - we measured the Tisza at 0 percent then. However, I'm glad I got away with it, even if the president could have beaten me.

To this, Péter Magyar accused the director of public opinion research of lying, noting that the Internet does not forget. According to him, the company already tried to correct it as the election approached, when the DK was overestimated by only 6 percent and the Tisza Party underestimated by 4 percent.

You obviously have the money. Who is the customer of this excellent five-garden research? DK or Fidesz? Or together?

he asked the question.

Responding to this, András Pulai called the party president's attention to the fact that the poll:

it does not examine a future state, but records a past moment;

public opinion is not stable, it is in constant motion, it changes from week to week, or even from day to day.

According to Péter Magyar, András Pulai lied

This was the case during the period from March to June. It is a completely self-serving lie to choose a date, thus a research from the past, and then apply it to the present. He also added

"if the president would like more information and broader knowledge about the characteristics of the research, please ask, and I'm sure we can talk about it."

At this point, Péter Magyar changed to a sharper tone, because according to him, it became clear that Pulai lied when he talked about the February measurement, it turned out that in both May and June, they produced totally false data about the parties' support.

"And he wants anyone to believe that his current survey - for which he does not reveal who paid for it - is authentic. And by the way, as the head of an "independent" institute, he makes personal comments about the leader of a party who criticizes him..."

According to András Pulai's retort, Magyar tries to remove things and cases that are unpleasant for him from the public, or to discredit them, by bullying everything and everyone who has anything to do with the given case.

"This is all un-European behavior, I suggest you try to face it. And this does not only apply to comment bullying, but also to the phone that may have been taken, or the threat of breaking a finger."

Balázs Barkóczi, a member of the DK presidency, also joined the debate, according to whom all commentators who disagree with Péter Magyar will be told to "keep on fighting" .

Every journalist who asks about the reason for the sudden change of heart, about the millions stolen during the last 15 years under the Fidesz governments, about accusations of wife-beating, about throwing phones and writhing under teenage girls' skirts (etc.) is a Rogán-Goebbelsian propagandist.

Barkóczi finally asks the question: would this really be the alternative to Orbán?
