So far, nothing is known about his motive.

On Thursday, a judge remanded the 17-year-old boy who stabbed three little girls to death and injured several others in Southport, northwest England, on Monday. The teenager, who was first taken to Liverpool City Court for preliminary questioning, was charged with three counts of murder and ten counts of attempted murder in addition to the illegal possession of a stabbing weapon after he injured eight children and two adults at a dance party.

The victims were 6, 7 and 9 years old, the condition of five of the eight wounded children and the two adults is critical.

The police did not disclose the motive of the perpetrator. The suspect also appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, where the judge allowed the boy's name to be released and said the offender would be sent to a youth detention centre.

Axel Rudakubana, 17, was born in Cardiff to Rwandan parents and lives in the village of Banks near Southport.

There were demonstrations in Southport for the second night over the stabbing, demonstrators clashed with the police again, but the protests spread to several other cities. More than a hundred protesters were detained in London.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has called an emergency meeting with police chiefs for Thursday over the crackdown on protests.

The prime minister promised strict action against acts of violence attributed to anti-immigration sympathizers, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan condemned the "unacceptable acts of violence by those who incite division" on the X portal.
