The Society of Hungarian Writers of Slovakia announces a literary competition for Hungarian authors (with permanent residence in Slovakia) under the title Golden Opus Award.
All beautiful prose (1 piece, max. 15 spots) or poem (1 piece) written in Hungarian, which has not yet been published in print or on the Internet, and for which the author has the right to publish, can be submitted to the competition. There is no thematic restriction. szmit@szmit.sk , stamped on all pages . The author's name, email address, telephone number, address, and applicant's signature must be attached to the work in a separate e-mail.

Deadline for applications: October 1, 2024.
Prize in both categories: 300 euros, as well as the works of painter Zsuzsa Lőrincz.
The works of fiction submitted to the competition are judged by a jury of renowned writers. The members of the jury: Attila-prize-winning poet József Gyula Hodossy, Gyula-prize-winning poet Károly Illyés Kövesdi, poet Balázs Kovács. The first right of use of the award-winning works belongs to the Society of Hungarian Writers of Slovakia, and they are published in Opus 2025/1.
For the award ceremony on October 25, in Dunaszerdahely, the XXV. It will take place at a program evening organized as part of the Autumn Writers' Festival, where the winning entries will be interpreted by an artist.
Texts that are not awarded will not be kept or returned by the applicant.
