The favorite cocoa of the 80s will be available again.

Bedeco, which was discontinued in 2016, is returning to the store shelves as a brand after it was unable to compete with the Western competition that entered the market in the 1990s. However, the Zirci factory remained and now the company Nutriversum brings back the once very popular instant cocoa among its products in accordance with the needs of the era, but with the old flavors.

The company Nutriversum recreated the favorite cocoa of our childhood, Bedec, but now in a light version based on the views of the time, but with the usual, retro flavors, so the aroma experience is unchanged. But how did the children's favorite product, which melts easily even in cold milk, disappear from the shelves - despite multiple concept changes and changes of ownership?

HVG 's information, the product actually only disappeared from the stores in 2016, after it could not compete with the Western rivals that had been coming in since the '90s, even though the concept was updated several times along the way.

After the brand ceased to exist, the factory in Zirc that produced the product was not ground down, and specialists who knew the ins and outs of the profession remained. After the fitness industry and a healthy lifestyle became fashionable, Nutriversum moved into the factory, which, among other things, launched food supplements on the market.

Now Bedeco returns under the colors of this brand.

The re-introduction of the old brand was preceded by a research, according to which 76 percent of the respondents consumed Bedeco cocoa, Blikk .

Cocoa powder has become a favorite of generations with its distinctive taste and packaging, as well as its catchy advertisements. Thanks to its easy preparation, it has become one of the most popular instant cocoa for many.

With the relaunch of instant cocoa powder, Nutriversum also started producing protein powder and collagen powder in the Bedeco flavor.

The Zirci plant was developed in several stages, added to the old factory and converted with modern machines, and is capable of producing up to 9 tons of powder, 1,500 liters of liquid, 2 million tablets, 40,000 chocolate bars and up to half a million capsules per day, HVG announced.
