Still, who do the Brussels bureaucrats represent?

Ukraine threatens the operation of the EU energy market by stopping oil deliveries. The European Commission (EC) has a legal obligation to take action against certain threats to energy security, said Mr. Zoltán Lomnici regarding that

the European representative group of Fidesz-KDNP wrote a letter to the EC to fulfill its obligation.

- Stopping the supply of oil definitely threatens the operation of the energy market and the security of energy supply in Hungary and Slovakia, that is, within the Union. According to the Treaty on the European Union (EU), the European Commission (EC) ensures the application of the treaties and the measures adopted by the institutions. The EB therefore has a legal obligation to take action against certain threats to energy security, junior said to Magyar Nemzet. Zoltán Lomnici, scientific director of Századvég, in relation to the fact that the European representative group of Fidesz-KDNP wrote a letter to the EC to fulfill its obligations.

Known: The head of the Fidesz-KDNP European representative group, Tamás Deutsch, and its president, Kinga Gál, called on the European Commission (EC) in a letter to fulfill its obligations and stand up against Ukrainian blackmail, which threatens the energy security of the EU member states.

The representatives reminded: Ukraine's decision to stop the delivery of Russian crude oil to Hungary and Slovakia is based on official Ukrainian statements aimed at forcing the two member states, Hungary and Slovakia, to change their pro-peace position, so it is admittedly political blackmail.

"We call on the European Commission to immediately take the necessary steps to ensure that Ukraine abolishes the unacceptable and illegal measures that seriously threaten the energy security of the EU member states," they write on behalf of the representative group.

– Pursuant to the European Union Council resolutions, the EU concluded an association agreement with Ukraine, which entered into force in 2017. The agreement includes, among other things, economic and sectoral cooperation, which also includes energy matters. Since the agreement was concluded on behalf of the EU, its validity can - and must - be enforced by legal means from Brussels, said the constitutional lawyer.

Junior: Zoltán Lomnici explained: according to the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU, the goals of the Union's energy policy are:

  • ensuring the operation of the energy market,
  • guaranteeing the security of energy supply within the Union,
  • energy efficiency and energy saving,
  • promoting the development of new and renewable energy sources,
  • and promoting the interconnection of energy networks.

The legal expert explained: the governments of the member states can ask the Court of Justice of the European Union to oblige the EC to act, the Hungarian government can also exert political pressure on the EC through questions and motions addressed to the EP, but also through the European Council .

The bureaucrats in Brussels do not represent their own voters and the citizens of Europe, but the interests of globalist big capital, and thus their own financial interests.

- Big capital benefits from the financing, prolongation and possible escalation of the war. Hungary and Slovakia are pro-peace. Against countries that protect their sovereignty, do not give in to globalist aspirations, and emphasize the need for peace, Brussels primarily applies the double standard that has already been established, and where possible, tries to punish such member states financially and/or by curtailing their rights - concluded the expert.
