Half a million is still a long way off.
Of the required 500,000 dollars, 33,567 dollars have been collected so far for the treatment of the Békéscsaba Olympic champion Henrietta Ónodi, whose heart stopped several times at the end of March. Many people are waiting for a domestic foundation, through which it would be easier to provide the necessary support for the treatment of Henrietta Ónodi.
The 50-year-old Olympic champion gymnast Henrietta Ónodi, who lives in Florida and was elected an honorary citizen of Békéscsaba in 2008, fell ill at the end of March, her condition is serious, she is currently in hospital, her family is raising funds for her treatment.
On March 28, she was in a grocery store in Florida, in the town where she lives, shopping for her three young children when she suddenly collapsed.
Heni was immediately taken to the hospital, and on the way her heart stopped several times. He was stabilized and taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with near total arterial occlusion. He was immediately operated on to save his life.
This unexpected event is an incredible challenge for Heni and her family, both emotionally and financially.
Hospital rehabilitation is really a huge burden for the gymnast, as Henrietta will not be able to work for a long time. For now, her recovery is the goal, and even though she has insurance, it only covers a limited amount of expenses.
Henrietta's sister shared good news about her brother's condition on the fundraising page. First of all, he thanked everyone who has helped Heni's treatment so far. As he wrote,
his speaking skills have improved and progress has also been made in terms of eating and taking medication. The next big step would be to get therapy.
Many people would help the recovery of the Olympic champion gymnast from Békéscsaba in our country as well, several people in the editorial office of BEOL were also interested in how they could do this. The authorities are working to make this happen with the help of an existing or a new foundation, so that companies and individuals can contribute to Henrietta Ónodi's recovery much more easily from home.
