The Hungarian Olympian was hospitalized after swimming in the Seine.
Bettina Fábián fell ill on Friday and received an infusion and medication.
M4 Sport found out that our open water swimmer Bettina Fábián, who finished in fifth place at the Olympics, shared a photo taken in a hospital in her Instagram story. He wrote the accompanying text for the recording:
Show or the safety of the athletes…?”
In the photo, it can be seen that an IV is hanging from the arm of the young athlete.
The sports website knows that Fábián Bettina fell ill on Friday night and was taken to the hospital shortly after
received infusion and drug treatment.
He got better on Saturday, and will soon be allowed home, wrote M4 Sport.
Brandy "disinfection" did not work
As we reported, after landing on the shore, the athlete stated that he had swallowed a lot of water while swimming, that he also disinfected himself with brandy after drinking the water of the Sejna - of controversial quality - and hoped that he would not have any problems. However, that doesn't seem to have been the case.
We wish Bettina Fábián a speedy recovery!
