"I was moved and surprised that the dispatcher who supported the birth of our child was also looking forward to the joys of motherhood," said Vida Izsák, who successfully guided his wife's unexpected home birth based on the instructions of the emergency dispatcher. Both the expectant mother and her child are fine, now the proud father has spoken.

The National Ambulance Service (OMSZ) recently shared the news on its social media page that with the support of one of their rescue controllers, a father in Budapest successfully managed his wife's unexpected home birth.

Vida Izsák said that she is indescribably grateful to the staff of the ambulance service, because their third daughter was born without any problems with professional help throughout the unexpected situation. The father said that their other two children were also born quickly, one of the girls was born just five minutes after arriving at the hospital, and her brother was also quickly placed on her mother's chest within 1.5 hours.

After that, the doctors mentioned that with the next pregnancy it is worth going to the hospital at the first pains. There was no time for that now, the expectant mother was in the 39th week of pregnancy with her third child, when the amniotic fluid broke at the same time as the pains started. Her husband immediately called the ambulance, based on his report, it was clear to the dispatcher that there was no time to get to the hospital, the child would be born sooner.

The woman in charge of the ambulance very kindly reassured me and said that, based on the signs, it seems that it is not certain that the baby will wait for the ambulance to arrive

- recalled Vida Izsák, adding: the staff of the OMSZ arrived at the scene within 15 minutes of the call, except that many children in their families are, so to speak, more impatient than that.

Newborns in a hurry

Twenty-three years ago, on the way to the hospital, their father helped their sister give birth. She had no help, she led the birth alone in the parked car. Fortunately, both the mother and the child came under medical control in good health.

It will always be there in my father's eyes when he looks at my sister that he helped give birth to her

- said Vida Izsák, who added that she feels the same way about her newborn child. Although he was also present at the birth of his older children in the hospital, according to his words, the bond between him and his wife, who supported him throughout the labor, became even closer with the current experience.

Every woman who makes it through is a hero. Br, I've already been part of it, but the sudden onset of labor scared me, my wife kept my spirits up the whole time, and the rescue operator kept us calm

he detailed. The fact that the umbilical cord was wrapped around the child's neck also caused fright. "According to the dispatcher's instructions, my wife and I took her off easily, when she started crying, we already knew there was nothing wrong," said the father of three children proudly.

They had small children at home

The two-year-old and the four-year-old girl were also at home with them at the time. Izsák quickly put on a fairy tale video for them in the living room between two contractions, so they calmly awaited the birth of their sister without suspecting anything. After the emergency doctor's examination, they were able to see their newborn little brother.

"They were very happy, we had prepared them earlier for their sister's arrival, so it didn't come as a surprise to them, although they were surprised that it happened so soon"

the father reported. An ambulance for premature babies also arrived at the scene, accompanied by Izsák, and the baby was taken to the hospital in an incubator, where he was kept for a few hours for observation. The healthy child, born at 54 centimeters and 3,080 grams, was able to leave the hospital with his mother a few days later. Both are fine, said the father, who also spoke about how he found out after the OMSZ's Facebook post that this was one of the last duties of the rescue operator helping to coordinate the birth, before he too soon faces the joys of motherhood.

The rescue controller is also expecting a baby

"I was touched and surprised when I read the news, we wish her and her unborn child much happiness and good health. We are grateful to all the employees of the ambulance service that the birth took place without any problems, during which we felt safe the whole time despite the unexpected circumstances"

said the father of three, touched.

Another interesting thing about the story is that Izsák is a marketer at the Várva Várt Foundation , which deals with saving the babies of mothers in crisis. They do their work in the spirit of the following slogan: the arrival of every baby is a miracle if we help it to be born. "Now I could practice this with my own child," said the father who helped his daughter into the world.
