Lionel Messi, who plays for Inter Miami, demands 50,000 euros from the Spanish environmental protection organization whose activists broke into the eight-time Ballon d'Or soccer player's property in Ibiza in the middle of last week and defaced his castle in Spain with paint.
The Spanish newspaper El Mundo reported on the Argentine world star's claim for compensation.
Futuro Vegetal, which mainly blames the world's very rich people for the destruction and pollution of the environment, has carried out many vandal actions before. Members of the eco-activist group, for example, disrupted life at Madrid's international airport, blocked traffic on the capital's roads, sprayed paint on the Spanish parliament building, and repeatedly carried out similar paint attacks on valuable works of art in museums.
Climate activists from the organization Futuro Vegetal vandalized the mansion of Lionel Messi in Ibiza, Spain.
The activists painted the house with red and black paints.
