The Sky Guardians hit a multi-storey block of flats during a routine exercise. The Polish army will compensate the material damage caused.
A bullet hit a residential building at the site of a NATO exercise in Poland, but no one was injured, Malgorzata Misiukiewicz, spokeswoman for the 15th Polish Mechanized Brigade cooperating with the NATO battalion, said on X on Friday.
The incident took place at the Orzysz training ground in north-eastern Poland, in the neighborhood of Bemowo Piskie. A Romanian unit hit a multi-story panel house during a routine exercise.
The spokesman did not say about the type of projectile, but added that the Polish army will reimburse the material damage caused.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the military police, and the mayor of Bemowo Piskie also went to the scene. American, British and Croatian soldiers also serve in the international NATO battalion stationed in Bemowo Piskie since 2016.
