The young suspect had previously pledged allegiance to the Islamic State terrorist organization on the Internet.
Terrorists planned to kill tens of thousands of people at Taylor Swift's concert in Vienna in August, according to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
David S. Cohen, the deputy director of the CIA, confirmed at an intelligence summit in Washington on Thursday that the CIA had informed the Austrian authorities about the planned terrorist attack.
The Austrian authorities canceled all three concerts planned for the 34-year-old American singer at the Ernst Happel Stadium shortly after the notification.
The authorities previously arrested two young men in the case.
According to Austrian investigations, one of the 19-year-olds planned to use explosives and drive a car into the crowd of Swift fans outside the stadium and organize a bloodbath. The young man had previously pledged allegiance to the Islamic State terrorist organization on the Internet.
There would have been more than 60,000 people in the packed stadium. In addition, tens of thousands of fans who did not manage to get tickets were expected to have gathered outside the stadium.
The suspects are still in custody.
The 19-year-old main suspect and his younger accomplice are under investigation on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization and participating in a criminal organization.
