The Hungarian national football team played a goalless draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Puskás Arena on Tuesday, in the second round match of the A division of the League of Nations.

Federal captain Marco Rossi's team, which lost 5-0 to the Germans in Düsseldorf last Saturday, played superior football throughout the meeting, created several scoring opportunities, but could not defeat the Bosnians, who played a remarkably passive game.

The Hungarians are thus in the fourth place of the 3rd group with one point after two rounds.

Next, they will host the Dutch on October 11, and three days later they will visit Bosnia.

Twelve minutes before the starting whistle, the stands of the Puskás Arena were still quite empty, and it seemed that the match would not be full this time. In the sector behind one of the gates, the fans stretched a huge banner, on which " every outstanding sports performance gives birth to new champions and role models, thanks to the Hungarian Olympians!" " was read.

The fans cheered on Marco Rossi right before the start, and the Italian captain's students entered the match with great enthusiasm.

In the first three minutes, the Hungarians attacked aggressively, then both teams returned to their own game system, and both primarily focused on solid defense.

The first big chance came in front of the home team at the beginning of the 17th minute, after Szoboszlai's corner, Varga headed the goal, and Vasilj only managed to hit the ball to the side from the upper right corner with a great feat. Seven minutes later, Varga threatened again with a header, but the Bosnian goalkeeper was able to save his attempt under the crossbar.

Varga tried for the third time with his feet, and was forced out of position in the 32nd minute, but the rival goalkeeper was well placed in this case as well. By this time, however, it was already clear that the Hungarian national team was playing better and more dangerous at the goal. For the fourth time, Zsolt Nagy gave a task to Vasilj, who threw himself and saved his shot from 18 meters, which went exactly into the lower left corner.

On the other side, Dibus never once had anything to do, because the Bosnians usually only had the ball for a short time, and they could not lead a really dangerous attack.

After the turnover, the Hungarian dominance remained, and accordingly, the majority of the game took place in the Bosnians' half of the field. In the 60th minute, the crowd started cheering for Marco Rossi again, while as time progressed, the home players were getting more and more tired. As always, the opponent did not show much, it almost seemed that he traveled to Budapest for a draw and a point.

From the 70th minute, the Hungarians started the game, as a result of which Szoboszlai hit the crossbar from a free kick in the 71st minute, and a minute later Varga could have headed the goal, but his attempt was inaccurate.

In the first half, the Hungarian national team continued to press the attacks, and the biggest opportunity came in front of Ádám Martin, who came on as a substitute, as the striker could have headed the goal from three meters away, but the Bosnian goalkeeper blocked this attempt in the middle.

Overall, the Hungarians played much better football than last Saturday's 5-0 defeat, but due to the heroics of the visitors' goalkeeper and the mistakes made in the attacking third, they could not get the three points that are important for staying in the A division.
