The Polish Prime Minister would abolish the institution that works to promote friendship between the two countries, whose purpose is to nurture and promote Polish-Hungarian traditions and heritage.

Donald Tusk wants to cancel the agreement signed by Poland and Hungary in 2016, in which they decided to establish an institution working to promote friendship between the two countries, Rzeczpospolita reports .

Two twin foundations were then established, one in Hungary and one in Poland. The latter is the Waclaw Felczak Polish-Hungarian Cooperation Institute, whose history, according to the newspaper, is now coming to an end.

Based on the article, Tusk wanted to abolish some of the institutes created under the PiS government already after his election victory. The responsibilities of the endangered institution include nurturing and popularizing Polish-Hungarian traditions and heritage, language learning, culture and promoting Polish-Hungarian youth cooperation. Among other things, the institute was responsible for the organization of the annual Krasiczyn Summer University, publishing and scholarship programs, the Mandiner observed.
