The president of the Tisza does not want to tell the truth about the number of soldiers participating in flood protection.
Péter Magyar once again attacked the flood protection in a Vác check-in. The president of the Tisza Party claimed that only 20-30 soldiers are participating in the flood protection work at Vác. However, the city's opposition mayor, Ilona Matkovich, wrote on Facebook about 100 helping soldiers on Wednesday morning.
The mayor also met with Magyar, to whom she explained in the following video clip that the soldiers will finish soon because they work day and night.
In another video, Matkovich showed that the uniformed soldiers of the National Guard were packing the sandbags, apparently much more than the number mentioned by Péter Magyar.
This is not Magyar's first lie regarding the defense. While he also attacked the preparedness of the defense authorities on Monday, he also wrote in a letter to Brussels on Sunday that "the authorities are ready" to defend themselves.
It is important information for understanding what happened that, according to local sources, the liberal Vác mayor came to his senses rather late during the defense.
On Nagymaros, the mobile barrier was practically at a standstill before Matkovich asked for help on Facebook on Monday morning.
The mayor, who arrived late, immediately contacted the disaster management, trusting that they would catch up with him and organize the defense.
