The ghost of Né Bangón haunted Blaha Lujza square, and among the "socially sensitive" demonstrators there was also a rat catcher again.

Within the framework of the "People for the People" program, a number of Hungarian speakers connected to the left-liberal side performed on Blaha Lujza Square on Friday. The demonstration was triggered by the recent closure of two schools of the Hungarian Evangelical Brotherhood (MET) led by former SZDSZ member of parliament Gábor Iványi.

The pastor's organization had previously continuously failed to pay the contributions of its own employees, and another institution of his had accumulated an overdue public debt of more than HUF 9 million.

Népszava was present at the demonstration, and in the video produced by the newspaper, we can hear a woman say scandalously that after the case, "a rat extermination should be done". According to another participant, we are "sheep people".

The video also shows that actors Péter Magyar and Pál Mácsai took part in the demonstration. The last time Ildikó Bangóné Borbély, a former representative of the MSZP, spoke about rats:

"If I'm outspoken: there are a lot of rats in Hungary, if the topic of rats was brought up in Budapest," Bangóné said in 2019 about why Fidesz's support is growing.
