"Flood gangs" try to use many types of fraud. For example, they pretend to be an official,
they present themselves as employees of the gas and electricity supplier or even a bank. They are well trained, always friendly and polite and inspire confidence.
After the flood of the century, the water has already receded in most places, and now the main task is garbage collection. Ruined belongings washed out of basements by water attract illegal waste collectors looking for recyclable items.
The problem is that in many cases, in order to be able to pay, insurers have to inspect the damaged appliances (e.g. refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, computer, TV).
If they were stolen in the meantime, the victims will not receive insurance compensation.
