At the Nemeskürty István Teacher Training Faculty, we are convinced that the teaching career can be mastered in practice, can be learned and taught in the field - Mihály Nánay, rector's representative of the Teacher Training Faculty of the National Public Service University, told Magyar Nemzet . He added that this is why they organize free field exercises, which are especially welcome for 11th and 12th grade high school students interested in history and geography. In this way, the lack of forming a professional, friendly and cohesive community among the university students is filled, which is not supported by the training taking place in today's credit system.

A practice-oriented approach to teaching must be prioritized and thereby strengthen teacher training, but theoretical preparation must not be neglected either, because deep subject knowledge is the basis of everything

The recognized expert stated: NITK believes that

the teaching career can be learned in practice, learned and taught in the field. That is why free field exercises will be held in the majors where this is particularly important, especially in history and geography.

Mihály Nánay emphasized: the structure of the training structure for history teachers is planned in such a way that the students have a subject every semester that is reviewed by excellent teachers who practice teaching the given topic. Therefore, the future teachers will not only be educated by theoretical and academic specialists, but also by professional teachers with serious results. The mastery of capital letters can be gradually mastered through practical examples, so that when the graduating university students enter the world of school, they will have well-founded knowledge and experience, explained the rector's representative of the NKE teacher training course.

As he explained, the topics learned in theory come alive in the field for the students, as they can walk in the areas where János Hunyadi or visit the Vaskaput, which István Széchenyi began to regulate. They can go to Timișoara to see the place where László Tőkés was a former reformed pastor, from where the live chain and the Romanian revolution of 1989 started, and they can visit Szabadka, the residence of Dezső Kosztolányi, and get to know the different styles in person. This is called authentic knowledge, when learning goes beyond the theoretical framework and turns into tangible reality and three-dimensional perception, explained the specialist. He added:

practical training and field training also help university students to develop into a professional, friendly and cohesive community, which is a major shortcoming of modern, credit-based university education.

- In the training according to our approach, the students can be increasingly involved in the activities. We imagine a field exercise with them in such a way that they give a presentation to each other on the spot on the various topics for which they are preparing, and prepare a field reconnaissance sheet for them. They will be able to apply this during their careers, when they become apprentices, so they will gain the confidence to organize similar programs. Field practice can provide complex, essential skills and knowledge for a teaching career, Mihály Nánay pointed out.

The rector's representative emphasized: I would like to show the 11th and 12th grades, who are currently still in high school, the field training, which is adapted to their qualifications. Everyone is welcome, especially those interested in history and geography. - The participants should not expect to be moved, because we will be dealing with the profession almost the whole day.

Transylvanian field exercise from October 28 to November 1, scheduled for the autumn break, , and for the southern field exercise from October 26 to 29 here . The application deadline is October 15. Mihály Nánay drew attention to the fact that it is worth registering as soon as possible, because places fill up quickly, and the next such opportunity is only expected in the 2025 academic year.
