Affordable housing, an income of one million, worker loans and capital subsidies for Hungarian small businesses - the prime minister announced an economic program at the postponed parliamentary group meeting.
The Fidesz-KDNP faction started its opening two-day faction meeting in Esztergom on Sunday. According to Magyar Nemzet, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced an economic program at the event, which was postponed to a later date than usual due to the flood.
The Prime Minister believes that the world has changed radically since the outbreak of the epidemic and the war. If we want to describe this simply in terms of economics, we can say: the East is going up and the West is going down. In his opinion, a maximum of ten years, and the longest in the global economy will all be listed in the East.
Viktor Orbán confirmed now: Brussels and the Western world responded to this situation by declaring an economic cold war. However, this economic cold war is not good for Hungary. Hungary also wants to stay out of the economic cold war. He emphasized: if our country wants to be successful, it must be economically neutral. Hungary must follow its own path, only what is useful and reasonable should be adopted from the West and the East. Everything that could harm the Hungarians must be rejected.
In his speech, the prime minister also set a precise goal: "We need a level of growth that exceeds the average growth of the European Union!"
In his opinion, economic growth above the European Union average can only be achieved in the Hungarian economy with a policy of economic neutrality. In Viktor Orbán's opinion, high economic growth requires free trade in the economy both to the west and to the east. With the policy of economic neutrality, the growth rate of the Hungarian economy can be increased to between three and six percent, and the new economic policy will take the Hungarian economy on a stronger growth path from 2025.
However, this new type of economic policy also requires new tools: the agreement of economic actors, the chamber, interest representatives, and employee organizations is necessary, since the government does not want to make decisions about them over their heads.
They want to conclude a new agreement with employers and employees on a multi-year wage increase program based on economic growth. With this agreement, the minimum wage of one thousand euros and the average wage of one million euros will be reached in a predictable manner in the near future.
However, the prime minister did not stop there. I would like to double the size of export-capable small and medium-sized enterprises, this requires a new economic plan, the Sándor Demján plan and capital subsidies, in a way that is accessible to all small and medium-sized enterprises.
He also spoke about the previously announced worker's loan, in his opinion, in addition to graduates, the skilled workforce is also very important, which is why they want to introduce a worker's loan in 2025: similarly to the student loan, working young people will also be given zero-interest loans. The employee loan helps young people get started in life and contributes to the strengthening of the economy.
The Prime Minister's speech could not leave out the evaluation either. Viktor Orbán said that wartime inflation and the energy crisis raised the price of real estate in Hungary and Europe. The majority of Hungarians live in their own property, and Hungarians primarily trust their own apartment, their own house.
In Hungary, for the sake of affordable housing, the number of housing constructions must be doubled, and the interest rate on housing loans at banks must be reduced to below five percent.
Summa summarum, the Prime Minister summed up, they are interfering in the Hungarian economy on three points: affordable housing, one million income and worker loans, the Sándor Demján program and capital subsidies for Hungarian small businesses!
After the economic situation report and the announcement of the new program, of course the current political situation could not be left out of the presidential speech.
Viktor Orbán believes that everyone could see on Wednesday that nothing has changed in Brussels. Only those who uncritically support the continuation of the war, accept Brussels' migration policy and open a free way for LGBTQ sexual propaganda can be good guys there. In his opinion, the leaders of Brussels should stand up and applaud in the European Parliament when they talk about this.
They did not give up the goal of forcing the migrants to Hungary, and of making Hungary one of the uncritical supporters of the war. They know they will never achieve that with a national government.
They are now looking for new ones alongside their old loyalists, the rolling dollars and the rolling euros are coming, and the one they singled out is raised on a shield and promised impunity.
Viktor Orbán warned: when impunity is promised in Brussels, it always comes at a price. And the people of Brussels like to make the Hungarian people pay for it. Ending the utility reduction, ending the 13th month pension, putting multis in a favorable position vis-à-vis Hungarian businesses, raising the personal income tax, introducing the real estate tax: these are all on the Brussels wish list, along with supporting migration and the war.
At the end of his speech, Viktor Orbán declared: - I am ready to fight, we will win!
