It doesn't matter what you know or don't know, what you're good at and what you're not, after an unsuccessful job interview or failing a physical test, all you have to do is call out racism or gender discrimination, and you'll get the fat compensation amount and maybe even get the job.
Come on, please, this is what I call equality cut from the stem!
Hallelujah, the Biden-Harris administration will bring it to America, and because what begins there always ends in Europe, it will bring it to us as well - the real, truly democratic order. Also into the world of work.
Of course, you are not suitable for the job you have won, but people do not apply for this or that job because they can and want to do it, but for the money.
Our colleague, Gábor Sebes, noted the news on his Facebook page referring to the Daily Wire article , that "The US Department of Justice sued cities because their fire department used math and endurance tests to assess the abilities of applicants."
Outrageous, isn't it?
What does it take for a firefighter to carry heavy hoses, hold a hose that shoots high-pressure water jets, or climb to the top level of a multi-story building in heavy equipment? Because this is the minimum that a firefighter has to endure for hours, at least that's what the completely anti-democratic, racist and male chauvinist (like me) would believe. According to the Biden-Harris administration, it is unacceptable that the candidate is discouraged just because he is not capable of doing so.
Democratic selection simply cannot impose conditions, because in this way, let's say, those whiny men and women with weaker than average physiques (or, knowing the American average, on the contrary, who are significantly overweight) fall out of the applicants, even though the poor cannot help being like that. Well, the bunny may not be able to hold the syringe, so what? At most, the building burns to the ground, at most a few people are trapped inside who could have been saved, but their sacrifice is a holy sacrifice that must be made on the altar of equality if we want good.
And what if the overweight firefighter falls on the third floor because he can't breathe in the rush? Well, of course, he can't reach the thirtieth floor, he can't rescue those trapped there, but don't we expect the unfortunate chubby to have a heart attack from the great exertion? Right, right!
The math test is exactly the same discriminatory admission criterion. Where you have to deal with such monstrously difficult tasks as how many 60-foot hoses to connect when the fire is 350 feet away? Well, that's too much! Are they now looking for firefighters or mathematicians?
I am only afraid to note that a Hungarian child who has completed second grade can solve the task with a grin, either by dividing 350 by 60, or by dividing 60+60=120+60=180... until the 5×60=300, but because this is not enough, it should be rounded up to 6×60. But in the excellent American education system, students are not forced to acquire extraordinary knowledge, i.e. knowledge of basic operations, but what kind of dictatorial order is it, where learning is forced?
The spiritual greats of Biden and the grinning geniuses of Kamala are right, such discriminatory steps do not advance the cause of the homeland or firefighting.
According to them, the assertion of the physical requirement is anti-feminist, and the "mental challenge" is racist discrimination against blacks, given that mainly people of color are unable to cope with the task. It is no longer a question of other blacks passing the test without any problems. But the geeks have to, they won't get a single penny of the million dollar pain fee.
Beyond the sea, therefore, knowledge is power, ignorance is money.
While we're at it, I have some progressive ideas for the greater glory of democracy, because impermissible discrimination can be seen not only among firefighters.
• It would be a big step on the road to democracy, for example, if terrorists were also enlisted among the soldiers guarding the nuclear missiles. Still, it is absurd that they are cut off from the means of more effective bombings!
• It would not hurt if the ranks of teachers were filled with illiterates, based on the above example, the level of knowledge of the students would not deteriorate at all.
• Proven notorious rapists should be included among gynecologists, they also have the right to practice this beautiful profession unimpeded. Sadistic killers could also find their place among the surgeons, as their exclusion from the field is disgusting discrimination.
• Pedophiles could come to kindergartens and schools, since they love children.
• It would be possible to employ mute presenters on radio and television, those suffering from claustrophobia among sailors, those with limited mobility in football clubs, some thieves, robbers and murderers could be employed in the police force, there is a place for bank robbers among bank employees, dyscalculia among engineers, i.e. math skills for those with difficulties and perhaps some schizophrenics would sell among neurologists as well.
That would be truly democratic and desirable.
Lord, have mercy on this world, for your children do not want to have mercy on it.
