The Romanian Football Association has to pay a fine of 22,500 euros for "a message unworthy of a sporting event" and 30,000 for the racist behavior of the fans.

According to the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee of the European Football Association (UEFA), there were two violations during the Romanian-Lithuanian League of Nations match held in Bucharest on September 9, so UEFA punished the Romanian Football Association (FRF).

According to the decision published on Wednesday evening, the FRF must pay a fine of 22,500 euros for "a message unworthy of a sporting event".

At the same time, the FRF was fined 30,000 euros due to the racist behavior of the fans, and the Romanian national team has to play its next home match in a partially closed stadium (in front of 3,000 fewer spectators due to a sector closure).

Agerpres announced.

According to the Bucharest sports press (Gsp, Golazo), UEFA punished, among other things, that the Romanian fans stretched "molino discriminating against the Hungarian minority". The Romanian national football team will play its last two group matches in the Nations League next month: on November 15, it will play against Kosovo and on November 18, against Cyprus in the National Arena. The Romanian team has won its four group matches so far.
