The case of Georgia could have been a model for how to defeat Russia with peace. But it won't happen, we managed to screw this up too. Georgia is being alienated by the capital WEST because it was offended that the uneducated population did not vote for the parties assigned to them. A big round of applause for the weak-minded, psychopathic society ruling Europe and the USA.
Georgia was one of the procedures to end the war in Ukraine that could be implemented strictly within European jurisdiction. It could have been. The possibility that we can easily get even with the hooligan nature of Russia in an encouraging draw today, because we will get the three points in the second leg anyway. But the childishly violent and uneducated continental Western European mindset, which wants everything now and immediately, excludes longer-term thinking.
All that should have been done was to support Georgia's Western integration, even if the parties won't win the election, which according to the deep state in Washington can be worthy of our trust. For example, the way the Western bloc contributed to Austria's success after the Soviet withdrawal in 1955, because afterwards it was possible to rub it under the noses of the Czechoslovak and Hungarian neighbors that this is how everyone who is not a communist develops.
The fact that the US foreign affairs deep state has more than just geopolitical games is a regrettable fact. As a result of the LGBTQ, the most harmful of the various lobby groups, Washington has become so enamored of the Georgians that it would rather bring down the country than completely remove it from the post-Soviet sphere of interest through a well-thought-out strategy. Of course, they weren't the only ones chirping in the ears of the shells:
the NGOs that are happy to mess around everywhere got involved in high-profile cases, going so far as to spread lies in the foreign press that the Georgian Dream party was pro-Russian. But this should not oblige Europe to self-destruction.
It really wasn't a complicated plan, it just had to be implemented, not hysterical press campaigns. If Georgia develops and gets richer, while getting closer spiritually to Europe, then it could have offered Abkhazia and South Ossetia EU membership and a good minority policy against Russian colonial dependence, and we will talk to them about that. And with us.
Ukraine, if for some inexplicable reason we insist on its territorial unity, then we could have recommended the Georgian project to their attention: frozen conflict with Russia, Western integration, and in the wake of such an amazing social and economic development that in the end the population of the separatist/annexed areas screams and demands it back itself to the "mother country".
Obviously, this would not be a two-minute operation, but Georgia, for example, it is quite well used to the fact that 20 percent of its territory, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, has been under quasi-Russian occupation for more than thirty years. Not by chance, I add, as
Donbass and Crimea did not want to belong to Ukraine, and Georgia, bathed in the suddenly unfolding nationalism of the '90s, was not an option for the Abkhazians and Ossetians.
But instead of offering Georgia a European future, and the restoration of its territorial unity as a result, they get a colorful revolution and a hot autumn, American directives and NGOs instead of strategic autonomy, because that is what is important.
The Abkhazians and the Ossetians are wondering what is going on now, because a rich, non-oppressive Georgia that offers EU passports would have been a more sympathetic choice even for them, than the oppression of the Muslim auxiliary peoples that ensure Russia's bottom line.
If you have to choose between Brussels and Kadyrov, then the Ossetians, who belong to the Iranian peoples, and the Abkhazians, who are related to the Circassians, will vote for Georgia, if only because the majority of them are Orthodox Christians. But this peaceful option to trick Russia into peacefully acquiring the supervision of two of the three crossings of the Caucasus by the West cannot even arise anymore, because
someone's imagined gay rights are more important than geopolitics, which are currently being seriously violated in Georgia.
If anyone is the loser of this terrifyingly unnecessary and self-defeating western turmoil in Georgia, it is Ukraine and Moldova, from which the Russians could also have been expelled peacefully. Instead, we prefer to export wars and revolutions everywhere. Because the West has so much sense: what it can win with peace, it loses with war.
Instead of a lot of "ifs", it's bad now - that's what the elite of our continent understood about the world.
