Imre Kozma, founding president of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service and former delegate of the Nursing Order of Mercy, will be bid farewell to Imre Kozma at a public funeral mass on November 15 in Budapest's St. Stephen's Basilica, the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service announced on Tuesday.
On the day of the funeral, the basilica closes at noon and reopens at 2 p.m. Those who come to the funeral can pay their respects to the coffin between 2 and 3 p.m. The mass begins at 3:00 p.m., and after the ceremony, Father Imre Kozma will be laid to rest in the sub-church of the Saint Stephen's Basilica.
At the end of the funeral mass, visitors can also accompany the president of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service on his last journey, and then leave his grave through the side exit of the sub-church.
The funeral is open to the public, everyone who wants to pay their respects or pray for Imre Kozma's spiritual well-being is welcome, they pointed out. At the same time, interested parties are asked to register in advance at the e-mail address temetes@maltai.hu, if possible.
It was announced that if the Basilica of St. István was full, it would be possible to follow the ceremony on a projector in front of the cathedral.
Mourners are also asked not to bring wreaths or flowers to the ceremony, and to express their sympathy with their presence.
