It is worth making the economy family-friendly, said Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy on Thursday in Budapest, at the Family-Friendly Company of the Year award ceremony.
Márton Nagy called families and small businesses the basic units of economic policy, because they form the social base of the economy. The family-friendly workplace ensures a unique relationship between family and employer, which the government also considers important, as well as ensuring that the livelihood of families is not provided by social benefits, but by their own income, he emphasized.
The 1 million new jobs promised in 2010 have been created, the next goal is the 85 percent employment rate by 2030, with which Hungary can become one of the first in Europe
he added.
The head of the ministry emphasized that today everyone who wants to work can find a job, and fortunately, more and more of the inactive also want to find a job. Hungarian workplaces belong to Hungarians, and the proportion of guest workers is the lowest in Europe.
He added: the government is also aware of the importance of affordable housing, which is why it pays special attention to dormitories, the rental housing and housing market, because these are the guarantees of predictable family planning in the successive stages of life.
According to Zsófia Koncz, the state secretary responsible for families at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (KIM), the success of the family support system is confirmed by the fact that other countries are watching the family support measures with interest.
He emphasized that
the economy can be successful if families can live a balanced life, the government therefore works to improve their financial situation. With the tax discount for them, HUF 3,600 billion has been left with them so far, the number of nursery places has doubled since 2010, and new workplace nurseries may be established in the following years.
According to the head of the Három Királyfi, Három Királylány Foundation, family-friendly companies know that a balanced employee is the best workforce, because he does not have to give up his private life for his work. Fruzsina Skrabski put it this way:
it would be best if all companies were family-friendly and realized that this is also in their own interest, since such companies find it much easier to find specialists even if the supply of labor is scarce.
Among the companies that won the family-friendly title this year, Klub Rekreáció Kft. won first place in the small company category, Városliget Zrt. in the medium-sized company category, and Diageo Zrt. in the large company category. Robert Bosch Elektronika Kft. won the special award for family-friendly producer, the Ghibli company group received recognition for the most versatile family-friendly practice, and the most innovative family-friendly solution of the year was developed by Evosoft Kft., according to the jury's evaluation.
