The aim is to simplify applications, reduce bureaucracy and expand opportunities for fairness.

New simplifications can help families with children start life and find housing, the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (KIM) told MTI.

It was written that the government's goal is to provide as much support as possible to families with children, and for this purpose, the conditions and administration of individual family and home-building subsidies will be further simplified - the draft of the government decree on this matter was released by the ministry for public consultation on Tuesday.

The primary goal of the measures planned now is to simplify applications, reduce bureaucracy and expand opportunities for fairness, they added.

Among the planned measures submitted for public consultation, it is mentioned, among other things, that the social security subsidy previously used for new residential property will also be transferred to the purchase of an already used apartment, there is no need to wait for the 5-year prohibition period.

If the family moves to another property, due to legal requirements, the final payment will not be mandatory in the case of the Csok plus loan, they explained.

It was pointed out that additional help will be given to the families who have used the home-building subsidy, as those who have failed to register for the subsidized property will be given an extra 60 days to make up for it after being notified by the government office.

According to the information, the deadline for applying for mortgage loan reduction support after childbirth or adoption is extended from half a year to one year, which - including the last half year of pregnancy - can be up to a year and a half in total.

Chocolate Plus will also be available for premature babies born at the end of last year.

Thus, families can apply for the loan that can be applied for from January 1, 2024, even for children born prematurely, if the parents can prove with a medical opinion that they were expecting their child in 2024, but earlier than the announced date, in 2023 was born, the ministry announced.

"In addition to the simplifications, the government plans to double the family tax allowance in two steps next year"

they informed.

In next year's budget submitted to the Parliament, the amount spent on family support exceeds HUF 3,750 billion, which is more than four times the amount of support in 2010, the ministry said in a statement.
